Fall Debate Program (Online)-Beginner's and Intermediate


Novice (Beginner's and Intermediate level), Grades 6 to 12

Less than one year experience (Lincoln Douglas Debate)


14-week, 1.5 hours a week =21 hours + Extra practice Practice= 10 to 12 hours, Offline support = 3 to 5 hours

Total 36 hrs including extra practice and workshop offline support. Extra practice is planned before tournaments. Offline support inludes case feedback, checking assignments, and review student's rebuttal redo's. 


The class will focus on the thoughtful and logical construction of arguments, understanding the order and structure of a debate, topic analysis, research guides, brainstorming arguments, and building a case. Learn rebuttals, flow, speech strategies, cross-examination, and how to build confidence in delivering speeches. Learn weighing and voters/persuasion techniques. Coaches introduce various debate and Impromptu drills. Intermediate students will deepen their understanding of framework strategy, learn how to write stronger contentions backed by credible evidence, and develop the cross-examination and rebuttal skills that put opponents on the defensive. We'll work on flow, time allocation, and staying composed under pressure when the round isn't going your way. A minimum enrollment of five students is required.

  • All students are invited to extra practice, regardless of whether they participate in the tournament—no classes during Fall and Thanksgiving break.

  • Workshops are organized for card cutting and other important activities.

  • Our online program is structured and involves different drills, impromptu speeches, lectures, activities, and mock debates

Cancellation/Refund Policy:  Parents will be eligible for a partial refund if the student is withdrawn after program starts based on prorated policy. 

Payment Policy: Payment can be made in three installments—the first payment at the time of signing up for the program. Subsequent payments are to be made by the first of each month.
