Online, SPAR Debate Program (Grades 5 and 6)
SPAR stands for Spontaneous Argumentation
12-week program, with each session lasting 1.5 hours. Extra Practice 6 hours. Total 24 hours program
Students will kick off their learning journey with enjoyable activities such as vocal warm-ups, icebreakers, and Impromptu speaking, setting the stage for their exploration of public speaking. They will then progress to a Spar debate in the second week. Spar is a unique debate format that emphasizes quick thinking, persuasive speaking, and effective argumentation with limited preparation time. It's a popular activity for introducing students to debate and is designed to help them develop essential skills such as critical thinking, listening, and public speaking. SPAR stands for Spontaneous Argumentation debate. A minimum of five students' enrollment is required, with a maximum of 8 students in class.
No classes during Fall and Thanksgiving break. Structured curriculum.
24 hours program. 1.5 Hours each week. Includes 6 extra practice hours.
Online, 12-week, Tuesday, Sep 1 - Dec 1 (6.30 PM - 8.00 PM)
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Parents are eligible for a partial refund if a student is withdrawn after the program starts, based on the prorated policy.
Payment Policy: Payment can be made in three installments—the first payment at the time of signing up for the program. Subsequent payments are to be made by the first of each month.
