Online Advanced Debate Camp
Advanced Debate Online Camp: For grades 7 to 12 - One year of debate experience and must have participated in some tournaments.
Result Oriented approach.
Advanced LD (Lincoln Douglas) debate strategies involve mastering judge adaptation (traditional vs. circuit), strategic argumentation, topic analysis, effective rebuttal techniques, rigorous research, strong framework/weighing, focusing on line-by-line refutation, applying different speech strategies, case construction, framework debate, and mock debate. How to defend against Kritik's plans/counterplans is included.
Public Forum Debate (PF) is a two-on-two debate that focuses on current event topics.
Topic analysis, research, finding good evidence, case making, cross fire, rebuttals, flowing, final focus/strategies, salvage the round, weighing and summary. A minimum of five students' enrollment is required, with a maximum of 8 students.
A minimum of 5 students' enrollment is required. The camp will end with a mini-tournament on days 9 and 10.
